Oil Changes

Oil changes are one of the easiest and most important ways you can protect your vehicle from wear and tear. When driving, heat and harmful deposits build up in your engine causing wear and damage. Changing out old dirty oil with new fresh oil that meets your vehicle’s specifications will reduce friction, sludge, and premature wear. New oil lubricates and cools your engine properly, which helps keep your engine fresh throughout its entire life.

Burnsville Motors offers a fast, affordable, and convenient quick-lube bay to get you and your car in and out in no time! Our oil changes include a comprehensive maintenance inspection, courtesy fill of tires and all under-hood fluids, free battery test, and FAST service while you wait! No appointment necessary. See our oil selection guide below to view our oil change options and to select the quality of oil that best suits your vehicle and driving needs.

Burnsville Motors recommends choosing a motor oil that meets or exceeds your vehicle manufacturer’s oil specification requirement. Choosing an incompatible motor oil can void factory warranties and can cause engine damage.

Preventative Maintenance

Besides oil, there are several other vital fluids that must be replaced after time and use to help prevent costly inconvenient breakdowns. These fluids are critical to the operation and longevity of your vehicle. Remember, it is always cheaper and easier to prevent than to repair! Ask our service department or refer to the Severe Service Maintenance Table in your owner’s manual to learn what preventative maintenance is currently due on your vehicle. Below are some of the most important preventative maintenance services offered to help keep your vehicle running properly, and to help keep your future repair bills down.

Automatic Transmission Flush: Your automatic transmission is one of the most important and expensive components on your vehicle. It is responsible for transferring the power from your engine to your drive wheels. Most vehicle manufacturers recommend replacing the fluid in your transmission every 30,000-60,000 miles.

~Similar to an oil change for your transmission, a flush replaces all of the fluid, additives, and friction modifiers in your transmission to keep your gears shifting smoothly, minimize heat build-up, and to help extend the life of your transmission.

Coolant/Antifreeze Flush: Your vehicle’s cooling system has several vital responsibilities such as keeping your engine properly cooled during operation, and also from freezing up in the extreme cold. Fresh coolant constantly cleans and lubricates your entire cooling system. Most vehicle manufacturers recommend flushing out and replacing your coolant every 30,000-100,000 miles.

~A coolant flush replaces all of the coolant/antifreeze in your radiator and heater core, and any harmful deposits that may have accumulated. New coolant also lubricates the water pump while minimizing corrosion build-up.

Differential Fluid Exchange: If your vehicle is 4WD, AWD, or RWD, it has gearboxes underneath that transfer power from your transmission to your drive axles. The gears inside of those differentials must stay properly lubricated to minimize wear and tear. Because there are no filters for differential oils, most manufacturers recommend replacing the gearbox fluids every 30,000-50,000 miles.

~A differential fluid exchange keeps your 4-wheel drive or all-wheel drive system working the way it should. New lubricant means less friction, less wear, and longer component life.
